Montage: Activity 2

Activity 2: Blog Entry
Find two examples of political photomontages that are either from a historical or contemporary source.
Discuss in what context they have been produced and how effective you think they communicate their intended message.
Discuss the techniques that have been used to assemble the examples you have chosen and offer alternative ways that the artist could have put over the same message.

This photomontage directly to women, and how they act. The context the photographer is stating how women are taking their selfies, not taking care of their children and making other destructions. When women should be doing other helpful activities towards their life. To say the least, it is stereotypical but that is what the photographer intended by this photomontage. The techniques the photographers has used are having a women and pasting an explosion in the background to make you assume that it is a woman's fault.

In this photomontage, this is towards America and the drinking in America. In the photo the photographer states on how in cities all there is to do is drink. Which then would make you do reckless choices, such as having a kid while you're drinking. That the intention from the photographer. Some of the techniques the photographer has us is putting the American flag an dropping the opacity so the viewers knows it's America. Also pasting whisky bottles and putting light on the bottle.
