Activity 1
Look through assorted photographic websites and observe how many photographers have moved in very close to their subjects. By employing this technique the photographer is said to ‘fill the frame’ and make their photographs more dramatic. Find two examples of how photographers seek simple backgrounds to remove unwanted detail and to help keep the emphasis or ‘focal point’ on the subject. Attach two images you find to your reply to this discussion.

This image removes the other leaves in the background. The focal point in the one leaf with water on it. The photographer was trying to set a calming mood to the audience. This is mood is done by giving red and green colors and with some water drops. The photographer went up really close and blurred the background.
This photographer seemed simple background by blurring out the fabric and making the nail really sharp. Thats also how he removed unwanted details (the fabric). As you can see the focal point of this picture is the nail and the red lint. He also emphasis by only making the nail nailing red lint.
